To Angelique, massage is a conversation. Tension patterns are a snapshot of our existence: how we live, what we “carry,” affects the rituals we’ve developed as human beings. In an age where social connections are strained by innumerable factors, massage is a special relationship that depends on collaboration, and especially being a good “listener,” literally and figuratively. Their desire is to educate clients about their bodies, and give insight as to why certain tension patterns may arise, and how they can be addressed. It takes the fear/mystery out of what’s going on with our bodies and gives autonomy and power back to the individual.

Angelique received their massage degree from New School for Massage. They are licensed to practice massage by the State of Illinois. Their undergraduate degree is in art. They were polymath with education in Accounting, Studio Arts, and Early Childhood Education. Angelique is currently in school to receive their Doctorate in Acupuncture from Pacific College of Health and Science. They employ Tui Na (Chinese massage) techniques, acupressure, and basic knowledge of Traditional Chinese Medicine in their practice.

Their areas of specialty include pain reduction involving athletes/athletic injury, vehicular accident recovery, fibromyalgia, hypermobility, and scoliosis.

When Angelique is not working with clients, they are a member of the Chicago dance collective called The Lab Collective and enjoys practicing contortion.
